Difference between Full Diameter and Half Diameter Welded Ball Valves

Difference between Full Diameter and Half Diameter Welded Ball Valves

The difference between full diameter ball valves and half diameter welded ball valves is that full diameter and straight are two concepts. Full diameter refers to the actual size of the ball valve as a nominal diameter, that is to say, there is no reduction in diameter. Straight refers to the flow diameter as a straight line, corresponding to the direct flow, for example, the medium flow direction of the globe valve has a bend. The welded ball valve is widely used in various fields. Its superior quality and high-performance stability are beyond the reach of ordinary cast steel ball valves. The service life of all-welded ball valves is far greater than that of cast steel ball valves.

Technical features of welding ball valve:
1. Integral welding of the structure of the valve body, and no external leakage phenomenon.
2. The valve seat is composed of a PTFE seal ring and spring. It has strong adaptability to changes in pressure and temperature. It will not produce any leakage within the scope of use.
3. The anti-leakage structure of valve stems. The bottom of the valve stem has one PTFE self-sealing gasket and one O-ring. There are two O-rings and two PTFE gasket compositions to ensure no leakage.
4. The material of the valve body and pipeline are the same. It will not appear uneven stress. It also will not be deformed by extrusion due to the earthquake and the vehicle through the ground.
5. Light body. It is easy to heat.
6. Directly buried ball valves can be directly buried in the ground. Do not need to build a tall valve well, Just set a small shallow well on the ground. It can greatly save construction costs and engineering time.
7. The length and stem height of the valve body can be adjusted according to the construction and design requirements of the pipeline.
8. The ball processing precision is a very precise and portable operation. There is no bad interference.
9. There are two kinds of connection: welding and flange.
10. Operation mode: handle, gear (vertical/horizontal).

Structure features of welding ball valves:
1. The integral welding ball valve is pressed by carbon steel seamless steel pipes.
2. The valve stem is made of AISI303 stainless steel. The valve body is made of AISI304 stainless steel, which has excellent sealing performance and corrosion resistance after finishing and grinding.
3. Connection mode: welding, thread, and flange for users to choose.
Transmission mode: handle, turbine, pneumatic, and electric transmission structure. Flexible and light switch.
4. Compact structure and light weight. It is easy to heat preservation and install. The valve is generally installed horizontally.
5. It is widely used in natural gas, petroleum, heating, chemical, thermoelectric pipe network and other long-distance pipeline fields.

Characteristics of the welding ball valve:
1. The valve body is welded by a steel pipe.
2. Reinforced teflon is used for ball pads.
3. The valve stem adopts an explosion-proof design.
4. Temperature range: -60-200℃.
5. Drive mode: manual or turbine drive.
6. Test standard: API 598.
