The ball valve was born in the 1950s, with the rapid development of science and technology, production technology and product structure of continuous improvement. In just 40 years, it has rapidly developed into a major valve category. In industrially developed countries, the use of ball valves is rising year by year. 

In China, the ball valve is widely used in petroleum refining, long-distance pipeline, chemical, paper, pharmaceutical, water conservancy, electric power, municipal, steel and other industries. It plays a pivotal role in the national economy. It has a 90-degree rotation action. The cock's body is a sphere. It has a circular through hole or channel through its axis. 

The ball valve in the pipeline is mainly used to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium. It only needs to rotate 90 degrees of operation and it can close tight with a small torque. The ball valve is suitable for opening, closing and cutting off the use of the valve. 

Grades of the technical parameter 

1. Nominal pressure or pressure level: PN1.0-32.0MPa, ANSI CLASS 150-900, JIS10-20K 
2. Nominal diameter or caliber: DN6-900, NPS 1/4-36
3. Connection modes: flange, butt welding, thread, socket welding, etc. 
4. Applicable temperature: -196℃-540℃
5. Drive modes: manual, worm gear and worm transmission, pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, gas-liquid linkage, electro-hydraulic linkage 
6. Body materials: WCB, ZG1Cr18Ni9Ti, ZG1Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti, CF8(304), CF3(304L), CF8M(316), CF3M (316L), Ti. 
We can choose different materials, which can be respectively suitable for water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing medium, urea and other media. 

Installation notes 

· Make sure that the pressure has been removed from the upper and downstream pipelines of the ball valve before disassembly and decomposition. 

· Non-metallic parts should be taken out of the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning, and do not soaked for a long time. 

· Tighten bolts on flange symmetrically, gradually and evenly during assembly. 

· The cleaning agent should be compatible with rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working media (such as gas) in ball valves. When the working medium is gas, gasoline can be used to clean metal parts. Clean non-metallic parts with pure water or alcohol. 
· Each separated ball valve part can be washed by immersion. Metal parts that remain undecomposed non-metallic parts can be cleaned with a clean and fine silk cloth impregnated with cleaning agent (to avoid fiber shedding and sticking to the parts). When cleaning, we need to remove all grease, dirt, glue, dust and so on that adhere to the wall. 

· During the decomposition and reassembly of ball valves, you should be careful to prevent damage to sealing surfaces of parts, especially non-metallic parts. Use special tools when removing o-rings. 

· After cleaning, the wall surface should be assembled after the cleaning agent is volatilized (it can be wiped with silk cloth without the cleaning agent), but it should not be used for a long time, otherwise it will rust and be polluted by dust. 

· New parts should also be cleaned before assembly. 

· Use grease for lubrication. Grease should be compatible with the metal materials of ball valves, rubber parts, plastic parts and working media. When the working medium is gas, it can be used as special grease 221. Apply a thin layer of grease on the surface of the sealing groove, a thin layer of grease on the rubber seal, and a thin layer of grease on the sealing surface and friction surface of the valve stem. 

· During the assembly, there can not be no metal debris, fiber, grease (except for the specified use) dust, other impurities, foreign matter, etc. It should be allowed to pollute, adhere to or stay on the surface of parts or enter the inner cavity.
